100 days in power

What did people all around the world expect, a change. Yes, we accept he is Barrack “Change” Obama. But people all around the world have placed so much pressure on 1 person in so little time.

He was up against the deepest economic plight since

a) The Great Depression of the 1930s

b) Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

c) Controversial program of economic reform

He is also expected to work to prevent a global pandemic as he juggles the busiest US presidential debut in decades. To add to his can of worms, hundreds of students in US are sick with suspected cases of swine flu. He took quick steps by asking Congress for $1.5 billion in new funding to brace for an outbreak. The latest cherry is that at least six of the 19 largest U.S. banks require additional capital, according to preliminary results of government stress tests, which include Citigroup Inc. and Bank of America Corp. After a breakneck first three months where he faced limited opposition to a record economic-spending plan and a recasting of U.S. aims overseas, Obama will pursue the most ambitious presidential agenda since Lyndon Johnson in 1965. I strongly accept what Mr. Thomas Mann, a congressional scholar at the Brookings Institution in Washington when he said that some of the items will certainly be pushed off into next year and beyond and also said that Mr. Obama is here for eight years, not for 100 days or 200 days. We have all the news websites with headlines “Testing time – 100days”, “100 days on, Obama faces flurry of crises”, “Obama May Get `Hands a Little Dirtier' Pushing His Agenda in Next 100 Days”.

We must not judge him in 100 days or 200 days, we as people have to see the efforts he is putting into setting things right. Also may I take this opportunity to tell that our Leadership Dean Dawn Dekle would be on TV today to talk about 100 days of Obama. How can anyone work with swords hanging right over his head. We need to give him some space. The people have entrusted him a great responsibility and I believe, he would not disappoint anyone and would come out a winner and it would for sure effect the world in a positive way. Cheers to OBAMA

Mr.P.Chidambaram- Indian Home Minister- A man worth emulating

I was totally awed by the way our Home Minister handled the situation today when a shoe was thrown at him by an agitated journalist. His calm and composed nature showed the highest degree of maturity.  He also asked the police to handle the journalist gently and has also not filed any complaint against him. I always had high regard for Mr.Chidambaram and this incident just took him to another level of respect.
